Welcome to Koorda, Celebrating 100 years since gazettal in 2017. In the heart of Western Australia's great Wheatbelt! The Shire of Koorda forms a part of the north-eastern section of the Central Agricultural Division. Its population of 596 consists of mostly farming community dedicated to wheat, coarse grains and sheep.

Attractions include Drive in theatre, Koorda Museum, Koorda Motor & Military Museum, Koorda Annual Agricultural Show, Granite rocks & wildflowers in season.

The Shire of Mt Marshall is located deep in the heart of Australia’s Golden Outback, an easy three hours’ drive northeast of Perth in WA’s Wheatbelt region. Its rich agricultural lands, nurtured generation after generation, have crafted the region’s proud pioneering legacy and laid strong foundations for the future.

The two major towns Bencubbin, and nearby Beacon, are active, safe and vibrant communities with excellent sporting facilities and a remarkable community spirit. A town rich in history. Nungarin is a small town with many attractions located a 3 hour drive from Perth (300km). The shire covers an area of 1164 square kilometres. We have many heritage buildings in our shire including the earliest homestead in the district and the largest timber ex-army storage shed in the southern hemisphere. Nungarin is blessed with an abundance of fantastic granite outcrops and our wildflowers in Spring are beautiful.

Natural granite outcrops, native flora and fauna, woodlands and panoramas of wildflowers in season are all found in the Shire of Trayning. Located 235kms from Perth the Shire boasts three townships – Kununoppin, Trayning and Yelbeni. Home to 430 people, Trayning has some beautiful attractions. Billycatting Hill. Yarragin Rock and the Gnammas are just some of the places to visit. A variety of flora and fauna can be found at these locations and highlight the natural diversity of the area.

First settled 1904, Wyalkatchem townsite is 186km NE of Perth. WA’s first bulk shipment of wheat by rail occurred here 1931 and grain production and wool still drive the local economy.
