The NEWROC is a voluntary organisation of seven Councils whose purpose is to work together for successful communities. The group achieves this through regional collaboration to champion opportunities for the participating communities.

Established in 1994 the NEWROC has been led by Councillors from the Shires of Dowerin, Koorda, Mt Marshall, Mukinbudin, Nungarin, Trayning and Wyalkatchem.
